11th Scan Results and Update - 8/6/26

Unfortunately not the best news this time around.
There is growth in the lymph nodes in my abdomen and left armpit. It seems the cancer cells are waking up again and I've got progression.
Thankfully though, my liver, bones and lungs seem to be clear which is a positive.
The next steps are to continue getting my infusion on the trial tomorrow and then doing another scan in 4 weeks to see if the lymph nodes continue to grow.
If they grow we have a few options. Either do radiation and stay on trial, although that's like whack and mole and might be difficult to do where the lymph nodes are at. Or there might be another trial, which I need to see if I qualify and it's still a 50/50 chance to get on investigational drug, or move to another line of treatment that's standard of care and would include another chemo. I think we may also do a biopsy of the lymph nodes to see if it's changed subtype, which will be over the next few weeks.
This is not the news I wanted. I seem to receive good news, then bad news, then good news, bad news. But that's what stage 4 breast cancer is about. Nothing is linear and you try a line of treatment to only have progression months later. Each line of treatment is keeping me alive, but eventually you run out of options. I'm not there yet, but given everything, I'm moving in that direction a little faster than most.
I'm upset at the news but I'm holding onto faith that this is the right path, and hopeful in the next set of options. These gremlins just keep being naughty and need to know they are not welcome here!
Onward we move forward, one day at a time. Something I've been doing for two years. I'm exhausted but I'm fighting and not giving up. I just have to keep living and living in this limbo waiting game. It's tough, but I'm tougher. I'm learning to let go of control, accept and move forward. As I await yet again, I just have to keep planning all the fun things. I feel like I really need peace and an escape from my life right now as it's really hard.
Thank you to everyone for all the love, support and prayers. I really appreciate it. Please keep them coming over the next few months. Love you all.
Love, Stacy
