It's the start to another year and the start of new year's resolutions with a focus on being healthier. Healthy doesn't have to be hard, it's small changes and steps every day that put you closer to feeling good, both mentally and physically.
To start off this new year, I wanted to share my go-to fresh squeezed juice recipe that I drink every morning to kick start my day right. It's my morning medicine that gives me so much energy throughout the day.

First, I wanted to share the juicer I use. When I started juicing, I was using a reasonably priced juicer made of plastic that would work and get the job done, but it started to wear down over time from my daily juicing. It was Canoly brand, a cold press juicer, that now seems to be unavailable from Amazon. I decided to switch to stainless steel, to a brand called Breville, as I wanted something that would last. I splurged and bought a commercial juicer from Breville with a 70oz jug, for around $450. It was expensive but since I have been using it, it is 100% worth the money to get a nice juicer that will last, especially if you plan to juice a lot.
Now that you have a juicer, you are ready for juicing!
I use only veggies in my juices, as juicing fruits can add a lot of sugar without the fiber. Juicing is great because it's easier for your body to absorb the nutrients from the juice, but it also gets rid the beneficial fiber. I've found that juicing makes me feel lighter in the morning can definitely feel the effects from the boost in nutrition on a daily basis.
The veggies I use are:
Carrots, Celery, Beets, Cucumber and Lemons
The below amounts from each ingredient makes about one 16oz glass of juice.
Two Lemons
Half a cucumber
Three celery stalks
Four whole carrots
One whole beet
It's a lot of vegetables for one glass of juice every morning, but I promise you, it is so worth it. You will get a bounty of nutrients and energy to last you the whole day. Drinking the juice first thing in the morning provides extra hydration, quick delivery of vitamins and minerals, and better digestion on an empty stomach. Fresh juice helps to detox the body and improves mind, body and soul.
I hope you enjoy this fresh juice to uplift you. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below!
With uplifting lemons and love,
Stacy
